Anyone know what this growth is around my zoas? It looks like a foam to me. Or fluffy fungus2216522166

I'd fresh water dip it. Looks like a sponge and I've had them choke out colonies of zoas before.

How do you recommend a freshwater dip? I don't want to kill the zoas by doing it wrong

My way would be to just dunk them in rodi water for about 30 secs. But I've been known to be a lil reckless. A peroxide dip works too. There's a ratio to that too but I just squirt peroxide in a cup of tank water until it bubbles. Research is a better resource. Exposure to air kills most sponges as well. Whatever way you choose to do it, be sure to gently scrub the decaying sponge off with a tooth brush often. The decay from the sponge will be more likely to kill your zoas then the treatment you choose.
