I know this is usually a big request so I know you guys might not have any, but if anybody has some, I would really appreciate it. The pump on my skimmer seems to have leaked electricity and copper into my system, need to do a 100% change, my RODI is running, and I have about 40-50 gallons right now, but if anybody can spare some, I would really appreciate it. Most of my acros are gone, snails just died, mini brittles are trying to escape, all of my corals are closed, some are dying, one of my wrasse's is starting to act weird, and it sucks just having to watch this happen while I wait for water.

if you can not find some. the windmill in front of Polly's has RO water for $1 for 5 gallons. I have tested this water with my portable TDS meter and it was good at the time. but make sure you always check yourself.
there is probably a windmill on the west side close to Medical Center somewhere.
there is one at San Pedro Ave and Oblate Dr (6902 San Pedro Ave, San Antonio, TX 78216) but i have never used that one.

Get to the nearest LFS and get Polypad! It will remove the copper from your water. I don't know where you are, but I would try to get some Polypad and use it asap.

And, are you sure it is copper? Have you tested it, and what are the levels? A fried pump can release other toxic substances into a tank along with, or instead of, copper. I would also get carbon running asap if possible.

Sorry to hear this, Paul! Worst case scenario you could always use some prime and tap water.

My TDS reading is 5 right now. I need 2 new di cartridges. Anyways I may be able to get maybe 4 5gallon containers.
On the same note, prime and tap and you got a bunch there too.

Thanks for the tips guys! Not sure it was copper, I got carbon going last night, just added some liquid ammonia remover to hopefully give me an extra day. Will go grab some polypads right now.

On a somewhat fun note, why is it that the uglier the coral, the hardier it is? All the really pretty ones died overnight.

I don't know but it sure seems that way. Good luck man, hope you get everything sorted.

Paul I have about 20g rodi water on hand for top off. I also have 40g salted in a brute if you need it, would just need to get some salt back from you as we need to waterchange soon. I think you have my phone # from when I helped move the tank upstairs when you were stuck (assuming I am remembering right). Shout if so... Good luck

Paul, Sorry to hear about this. I just got home, I've got a brute can full in the garage. You're welcome to come by and take as much of it as you need. Give me a call/text 360-918-3807
