been putting feelers out for going to a 165 reef tank with a closed loop and the two corner over flows or moving the overflows to the center of the tank ie left center and right center would like the tank to be rimless if possiable but if not thats ok

Wait a second, for the last couple of months, you have been telling everybody that you want to quit, and now you are looking for a big upgrade. You might want to stick with what you have for a little bit. However, personally, I would not go rimless on something that big. I LOVE the look of rimless tanks, but I think something with that much pressure is just an accident waiting to happen. Good luck on whatever you decide.

wow you get through one cycle and now your ready for a bigger tank. so bigger tank means bigger equipment, which means more money. seriously you haven't experienced any real issues yet or learned water chemistry and just over all experience with a reef tank. slow down is best advice i can give you

I just want to know if what I want to do is possible. I'm keeping this 90 for a year or more so I can learn more about the hobby. I just know I want a 165 for my end tank. I know bigger tank means more money and bigger equipment and more pita then I can throw a stick at.

One overflow on the side with the return coming from the same side. I had this in a 158 I had in my office and it was the easiest tank I ever had to take care of. My bosses tank was the same and that tank did very well also.

I'll disagree on the rimless/brick design. You DO have to go with a much thicker glass (mine is 3/4"), but it is WELL worth it. Not to have a brace in the way. The original owner of my tank bought a brick after his conventional tank broke...

My 215 has a calfo on one end - overflow - and I had (and will have) the return on the other, pushing the surface constantly over the overflow. This worked GREAT before - one of the better design ideas I've ever had, by the way.
