I've been looking at LEDs for my 90 and Ive been comparing prices and over all value on them. I know Raidons are the best bang for the buck but they are too price for my budget. I like the AI's, the reef breeders and the max spec razor 240r. I'm just not sure on how many units I need. I do know I want some sps at some point but not till I got the tank ill settle with.

I Would go with two sols or Vegas over a 90g or even the reef breeder LEDs.

Again with the AI's. I swear they must have stock in MAAST metaphorically speaking. If you don't mind pendants consider Kessil's A360 or A350W's. That's what I have over my 90 gallon reef with impressive growth from my corals. AI's only have a year warranty with customer support that leaves little to be desired. Kessil has a 2 year warranty with awesome customer support. If your gonna spend 300 to 400 on a light I'd want that piece of mind. I had a light go down at 11 months and not only did they ship the replacement out the same day I called, they also included a prepaid box for sending back the failed unit. They are a US company based in California.

AI has actually really good customer service. A friend of mine on NR had issues with his wireless dongles and they sent him brand new ones, and when he couldn't get those to work they shipped him a brand new Hydra for his troubles and gave him a prepaid box for the dongles to ship back.

I know a few people that had the kessels and switched from them for a more controllable fixture like AI or radion and one with less spot lighting.

In my opinion, best fixtures out right now:

Radion G2 Pro, AI Vega/ Hydra (vega being slightly better for power puck), Razor, Kessil, reef breeders in that order. I like the radions a lot, but I can't justify spending the money for 2 G2 pros

The 360's are controllable. and then their is that 1 year warranty. Just my 2 cents.

The light controllability is limited by a third party controller. The Kessil would be higher if they had there own specific controller IMO.

And yeah, 1 year warrinty sucks, I'll give you that lol.

I like the razors, but for me, I think I like the feature set of AI and Ecotech much better i.e. lunar phases, clouds, sweeping sunrise, long sunrise, GPS sunrise etc.

Vegas are good fixtures, but if you don't plan to ever use power puck, you may as well get the hydras.

Acans I've never seen in person, and steven from polly's had a few and switched them all out for radions because he did not like them. Maybe you can PM him and he can give you more info on why he didn't like the acans. I vaguely remember it was something in how the three color channels worked.

I going with AI's for sure. The Vegas are sweet wait let me rephrase that.....they are some sick looking LEDs. The power puck feature is nice. I don't think anybody has that. Then there's the hydras. I don't know if they are full spectrum or not. But I'm looking into them as well. Raidons are over priced and lack what the Vegas have.

All three your looking into are good....

i owned the sols and now own the vegas. I wouldnt hesitate on the hydras either...

sols are great lights too, but not full spectrum......

Imo the 5watt whites in the vegas are too much power, you have to be very careful pr you will toast some corals... The hydras went back to a 3 watt led i believe for good reason, its enough power....

i like the frosted lens on the hydras and last time i talked to CS at AI they did not know if a lens would be available for the vega.

You would have to run the radions closer to the water than the AI. Radions have quite a bit more coverage from what I have seen and why I went with them on my tank. On a smaller tank you might want to try two Vegas. From what I have heard about the Hydras I don't think I would go that route for future expansion. Louis had a razor at his shop the other day that was pretty promising and I heard Tuan uses those on his tank so maybe he can chime in. I only use three g2 radions over a 8x3' footprint to give you an idea of the coverage that radions offer. They are very similar to my lumenbright large pendants if you have seen those in action. Ive never used kessil so I comment on those either.

I have two radions above my 105 and I love them. They can be programmed in so many different ways to suit your needs.

I've used SOLs for years and have a Radion Pro. I love the Radion Pro, it's an amazing light, but I don't think it was worth the money. I'm not saying that it's bad in anyway, I just think it's over priced considering you can almost buy two AI fixtures for the price of one Radion Pro. If I had it to do over, I probably would have gone with the Vega.

Have you looked into diy kits like rapid led's or steve's led's. I went with steve's led's and I really like them I have a couple of polyps/zoas, shrooms, LPS and LPS growing with this kit for my cube.
