I have a maintenance scheduled for 5, but I can swing by on my way home to see if you need anything, for this tank or the others. I could re-home a tang if need be as well. If you don't mind, I'll just stop by when I'm done here.

fish have either been moved or have traveled to other seas
really the only help I need is to get the sand out of this tank, so I can get it moved to the truck. If you have buckets. lmk
also LR for sale 1.81 lb. with or without coral on it:bigsmile:

BBQHILLBILLY
Tue, 25th Jun 2013, 05:00 PM
the 100RR, one of the bulkheads is screwed up I cant get it off, if you have a way of getting a bulkhead off, its so tight im afraid of breaking the glass, allmost like it glued.
maybe not, i need a fine tooth hand saw, a small one to try a cut, any ideas lmk. I cant get bulkhead off.
Need a rio3100, for return any used ones lmk
then I can redo the plumbing and that will go fast, I have a 2ft sump under the 4ft 100RR.

Tue, 25th Jun 2013, 05:11 PM
Dang Shane, that's awful!
Grab a wire saw from home despised. You will find them over near where the pvc cutters are hanging on the wall. It's a long, thin wire cable with handles on either end. Going to be the best thing for your application. A hand saw isn't going to get close enough to do the job.
you can also use a hacksaw blade. Tape over one end for a handle. It will take you a while, but it will get it done too.

Need a RIO3100 lmk
Does it have to be a Rio3100? I have a Mag 12 (I think) and a Mag 18 that I'm not currently using that you could use. Actually, now that I think about it, I do have a larger Rio pump as well, I think. I'll check the garage when I get home tonight.

the 100RR came with a 2 ft sump, need more sump for refugium. If I could get an 18inch sump to put on the otherside, I could drill the 2 and combine it into one. lmk
nothing fancy just clear bucket lol The sump I have is a 24x12x17, divided with a single baffle in middle. The skimmer is one chamber.
So im thinking 18x12x17 or something similar and partition to divide a return and refugium. nothing fancy

I might actually have something that would work for that. I had a frag tank built out of acrylic back in the day that I never ended up using. It has two holes drilled in it, but it's about those dimensions. I'll measure and take pics when I get home. It doesn't have a partition, but it still might work for you.

Funniest thing. I was relaxing and chillin nice and calm. I hear this sound. It sounded like a pump that ran out of sw. no biggie right. So I walk on over there to the fish room.
AND BAM. the sw is coming out of this crack from the bottom glass. wat tha . . . wife freaked. sw everywhere in the livingroom washer/dryer area, in the hallway
shes try to use blankets to keep the flood in the room. I told her its not gonna happen. get some towels pronto. Lukily the sw drained fast. lol
the fish were laying on their side and easy to get out and save. its all calm now.It happened so fast and no indication of a problem.
sometimes things just happen. . .Ill be back. 8ft tanks are awesome.

i know in light of things you dont
need criticism but why not just get a tank and stand all from the same manufacture. you can have them make it a closed loop, they build stand and warranty it all incase this happens again(i hope not)

Shane, I remember the day after Christmas when I came downstairs for coffee and found water on my floor. My 350 gallon tank had ruptured a seam.
I think the reason my wife let me drop so much money getting my current set up was because I was so sad. I was sure that I was out of the hobby.
I'm glad that your bouncing back, and I know what a pain it is to go through this.

+1 my 175 busted a seam on the bottom of the tank on a day I was sick home from work. I was up feeling terrible with water all other place and frantically moving stuff into smaller tanks I had. A terrible experience but I'm glad it didn't deter me.

trying to setup this 100RR. I have never ever had so much problems with 2 old bulkheads, now their butchered up. Need to fix asap.
Does anybody have a tool, that can remove or cut, without damaging the glass, and get these removed. Ill pay $20 and a couple of corals.
lmk I dont want to have to pay for an expensive tool to cut the bulkhead, where the glass is. ugh
Due to the emergency tank had to be setup asap. so its full of sw, fish, and corals. everything had to be rushed
