Glass H2o Boxes (well one is acrylic)
Display: 210 Tall, Oceanic
Refugium 1: 110 Gallon All Glass
Refugium 2: 30 Gallon All Glass
Sump: Est: 30 Gallon Volume

Total Volume: 380 Gallons

Lighting:
3 x 250 watt HQI (Icecap) - planning on replacing w/ Kessil A360's.

Filtration / Plumbing
Closed Loop: Reeflo Dart powering 3/4" returns w/ 2 x 1" SCWDS
Skimmer: Reef Octopus Diablo 12" 300-EXT
http://www.aquacave.com/Reef-Octopus-Diablo-DCRS300-EXT-12-Recirculating-Protein-Skimmer-with-DC-Pump-up-to-700gal-P3875.aspx
(The Skimmer is to much for the current tank - but that's part of the plan)
2 X Phosban 550 Reactors (1 X BRS ROX Carbon, 1 X BRS High Capacity Ferrous Oxide

RODI Auto Top Off - AquaFX Barracuda w/ Chloramine Blaster (the Chloramine Blasters on order)

Biggest Challenge
The tank finally matured past it's hold filtration system and with the addition of new Halides - BAM... worlds worst algae problem.

Corrective Actions
Dilution is the Solution to Pollution - Water Changes (not as many as I would like - it's a LOT of water.)
Refurbished RO Filter (new membrane - Chloramine Blaster (bye by amonia!, Sediment & DI Resins)
New Skimmer - see above
Re-plumbed closed loop (so I could fit the skimmer in the close - got a lot more flow out of it too)
Hungry Urchins & Blue Spot Sea Hare added (not really a solution - but my clean up crew DID need to be bolstered)
Added the reactors - I'm against running carbon on a tank full time - but I've obviously built up a ton of crap in the tank - so this is just helping to get it out. I'll probably change it out a few more times then switch it to something like biopellets. (or leave it once the predator tank is plumbed in - i'll probably need it.)

I'm on the tail end of fighting the algae I think - famous last words since the crash of one bloom often means another types about to have fun.

Oh, most of the rockwork is homeade - mixture of portland cement and solar salt.

Future Plans
Halides have got to go - going to get Kessil A360's to replace them (Thinking I will start w/ 4). I'd like to plumb in another Closed Loop - I already have the the pump, parts, and 2 more SCWDs. I'm also thinking about building a starphire 220 (30 x 30 x 60) brick to go into my office (and house non-reef safe critters) which is on the other side of my utility closet. That will probably end up being my 110 cube though. we shall see.

biggest challenge right now is getting the algae under control. So you know - the joyous experience of lots of water changes. :) I think I'm done working on the plumbing for a while - as much as I think another closed loop would be extremely beneficial (if cyano's growin - then there's not enough flow! (obviously there's a phosphate problem too) I j just don't have it in me right now to go through that again. Putting the first closed loop in I ended up dropping my canopy while taking it off - still had the halides plugged in - electrocution by halides that are also burning the flesh off your arms is not fun. Drilling through walls is stressful. :) and I don't fit into my closet anymore. :) and - oh yeah - putting together 2" unions and valves and plumbing out SQWDs gets costly fast. :)
