I set up my chiller tonight and am confused. My Apex is reading about 3 degrees different than the chiller temp. Apex reading: 79.3 and the chiller is reading (set at) 76. I don't know what to trust, the chiller or the Apex. Anyone with Apex experience on this topic? And any info will be greatly appreciated. I know temp stability is most important. But I would like to stay between 77-79 degrees, and know that I am not going to fry my corals...

Thanks in advance for any and all input,
Jerry

i let my apex win this one . i set my chiller a few degrees cooler than i need. that way when the apex wants to turn the chiller on i know it will come on. but i dont set it so low that the temp would dip too much in case the apex fails leaving the chiller on, which it shouldn't because i fallback to off on the outlet

Thanks for the info. Good to know it isn't just mine doing this.
