I am fighting this brown algae on my glass every day. Its very annoying. I'm pretty sure it could be cause I'm using tap water then Decloranating it. also is there something I can possibly put in my sump to help it? Thanks. I would like to buy a not too expensive ro unit. Just don't know where to go.

Most I've seen are about 135 but if you find any cheaper new I'd like to know. I'm purchasing one myself here soon. Try walmart or an LFS for ro water in the meantime.

will do. Yeah I used to do that before I got my new job. I'm gone almost 11 hours a day. And try to come straight home whenever I can. I figured its time to just buy one now that I'm getting more and more into this hobby.

I don't know about the cheapest, but I think the best bang for your buck is something from Buckeye Field Supply. They have a great product, great service and very good price. I've been very happy with my unit and with the service I've gotten from Russ.

Also check out air water and ice. I'm looking into their mighty mite units.

Yeah that's not too bad actually. I think I'd need the 50gpd. Are they hard to setup?

No, they're not hard to set up. I've set one up in my garage that was connected to the faucet outside and I have one set up under my bathroom sink. The one in the garage was real easy. You just need a hose bib adapter, and a place for your waste water to go (mine runs into my front yard to water plants):

If you're going to connect it under an inside sink, you need a couple of fittings. If you talk to Russ, he'll get your everything you need.

Why not air, water & ice. They are a Maast sponsor and give discount's to Maast members. Just look at their ask a sponsor a question section.

buckeye is a sponsor also. not saying anything bad about AWI, but you can post a question about your unit from buckeye and Russ will answer it for you. dont remember seeing AWI do that but i could be wrong.

had a unit from russ and outstanding product. next one will be from him

honestly with any reputable company you cant go wrong they are all basically the same product and use the same filters. there are very slight difference in their packages ive owned air water, buckeye and currently run a bulk reef supply unit, i have no complaints about any of them.
