clown tang. too small to catch like larger tangs but makes adding new fish very difficult. i think i will be making a fish trap in the near future.

I have a couple. Especially when I was first starting out.

First mistake was not researching a fish purchase. I put a sailfin in a 30g tank. I had the thought of - No problem. I'll regime it or buy a bigger tank. It developed ich a week later and took out all my other fish.

In my old 90g I used foam for parts of the rock scape. It looked great until I put a tuxedo urchin in the tank. Oops. It ate the foam and the open foam cells became a detritus trap and was just pain ugly. It was, however, funny when the urchin pooped. The poop would fly up to the top of water.

I too have foam eating urchins. I've yet to figure out why they don't just float off across the tank.

Sand sifting goby... had it in a 110 mixed reef. Would grab a mouth full of sand... swim to near the top of the tank and drop it. Was always stressing my corals.

IMO, a coral not grown onto a rock, is a frag.

Monti caps. They always sting the nicer looking sps.

Green star polyps and mushrooms in a sps tank, they act like its their house and tries to to kill everything. Omgurd you have to start fresh to get rid of the imposters that you thought we're your friends. Only if they made a saltwater vacuum that would suck up the mistakes in yo tank and left the water behind.

Green star polyps and purple mushrooms. They replicated so fast and stressed nearby corals.

Domino damsel... Which Is how I found this thread. Did a search for fish trap, and this is the first result. That being said, guess I will be making a soda bottle trap tomorrow.

Oh, and Texas trash.... (Thank you Sherita for pointing this out). It has since been removed!

When I was new to the hobby I put an octopus in mine. Managed to kill a few fish before I was able to capture him and I had to remove most of my rock in order to do that

Tank has not been up for long, and I already have livestock in there I wish I did not purchase. Hoping for the best, but from what I have been reading up on, does not look so good. Got a Flame Scallop yesterday, so due to a failure in researching better before I purchased I am kicking myself for doing so. I had asked the LFS (which I will keep nameless at this time) about care, and they stated that they were very easy to take care. Little did I know :(

Well here is good luck to me and the Flame Scallop.
