View Full Version : Skimmer pump mod

I did a search and nothing was found, but I am sure this has been covered previously. I have a Reef Octopus Pro 250 and the needle wheel was shot, so I did a mod to it. Well, a friend did the first one and it lasted a few weeks, then I did the mod and it lasted a few weeks. Is there a better way to do it? I used the enkamat and it just doesn't hold up for long. Anyone have a better way besides buying a whole new $200 pump?

what pump is it maybe easier to buy a new impellar

It is a skim-rite 1000. Haven't been able to find a new impeller, as I believe that pump has been discontinued.
