LED light strip from IKEA - actinic/moonlights - AFFORDABLE!

So, I've been wanting to pick up some strips of LEDs for use as actinic/moonlights but just couldn't bring myself to purchase multiple $50 stunner strips plus a $40 transformer x 2! UGH! I also wanted to cover two 40g breeder systems.

Long story short... I found these at IKEA this past weekend:

I picked up two sets for $49each! Each strip covers 3'3"! They also have controllers and multiple settings and colors. Pretty cool!

I honestly don't like how bright the vega's are on lunar setting.... Even at 1% it seems like too much.

There's a few people on youtube that sell this exact same strip for about 10$ also. Works great, my dad has them around his flatscreen at home for effects.

Tony, yeah, they are not as bright as stunners either, so they make good moonlight.

Zack, those for just the strips or the complete setup, controller, transformers etc? $10 is pretty cheap, I'd be surprised if that is for everything.

Same strips with controller an power supply. It was from hong kong though, but there still working three years later

Also, on the strips we got, you could cut them every 8'' if you needed to.

It was sold as a 4 ft roll and each 8'' could be cut to fit your needs. It was 3 years ago, so idk if that seller still sells them.

True... but you gotta figure, the ikea ones were probably made overseas also.

The only ones I'm finding on ebay are these:

They have something similar at lowes for roughly $30 we got some for the fuge light it's funny cause it has like 17 diff light controls and it makes the tomatoe clowns look awesome and they get really nosey lol

Yeah, pretty sure the Ikea ones are made in China too lol

The ones I have fit perfectly across the length of my 40g breeder setups.
