Okay so since you get what you pay for in life, I didnt receive batteries with my laser, I had to settle with I could find locally. I just finished ordereing 4 batteries and charger to bring the laser to full power.......

I will make another video with the laser at full blast soon.....


oh and snap crackle in pop you hear is real!!!! its more loud in person.....

nudis seemed to work then it got bad again, then the peppermints did a good job then like the nudie just gave up.....

Im being real careful with it... i took out the batteries and put it back in its case and put it where my son cant reach it... And I told him if I catch him with it "I will beat his ***"...... Does the beam have any heat to it? I remember a while back there were laser pens that claimed they could light matches and pop balloons with the beam.

Be careful shining it in the sky, I read an article last year a guy was busted for shining a laser at the ghetto bird. They tracked him down, they really frown on that activity. I know you didn't do that, just throwing it out there.

I don't think the Krypton has enough power at 100mW to do what yours does.

And I know I've asked this like 9000 times already, but what camera do you have again?

Interesting. I've never used one, but from all the aiptasia laser threads I've read people mentioned the laser would only run for about a minute then they had to recharge. What they meant by recharge, I didn't think it was related to the batteries but I suppose that makes a little more sense now. It was only about a 1 minute recharge time IIRC.

you let it cool down I believe or something to the nature of letting it rest before you run it again

Most of them will have a duty cycle. To exceed that duty cycle could cause irreparable damage to the laser.

tony, are you beaming thru the glass or from the top of the tank? if you go thru the glass, would that cut down the power of the laser too much or have the potential risk of heating the glass to the point of cracking it?

Through the glass, no one on the threads I've read have had any issues...... They did have a waterproof model, maybe I should have grabbed that one.

i dont know if it would be an issue or not, but that would bite if it cracked your glass. next time you try it, you may want to see if it is heating up the glass at all. even if the glass is only heating a little, that could mean that it is reducing the effect of the laster on the aiptasia.

ACE no heat whatsoever on the glass..... even made my wife feel to make sure....


I have wiped out a whole section of them already. the few I did the other day have not reappeared yet....


I know it will never solve the problem but would be nice to pull out to wipe out a polyp or 2 every now and then...
