I'm designing my 40 breeder build and I'm looking at options of how i'll arrange it in the room, and the thing I'm looking into now is three sided tanks. Anyone here have one? If so, what are the pros/ cons?

A peninsula tank comes to mind.

interesting indeed, will all three panes be viewable or just one? Would be crazy trying to aquascape.

By three sided I meant a tank has it's three veiwable sides as the two long sides and one of the side panels lol sorry for the confusion. I guess this is known as a pennensiula tank in the hobby. Or a room divider.

Oh nice. That will be pretty cool on a little 40b. Not sure on the aquascaping though. Looking forward to what comes of this though.

here is my dad's 58 gallon that is running that way

seems to be working out fine and it is almost like having two tanks with both long sides being viewable. that i one reason i have enjoyed the 250 so much - being able to see thru all four sides.

Peninsula tanks can be very nice. Bens new tank is set up peninsula style.

Yeah, Ben's tank is awesome. I read this post last night and now I'm trying to figure out where I can put a 40B as a peninsula. Haha...once this hobby has you, it never loosens its grip.

This is very true. I just got a ton of corals yesterday and I need more space to put them all!

I have a small apt room but I think I can find a nice place for it to go.
