I know I'm always googling stuff, so this would come in handy.

Have you ever wandered into the local fish store and wanted to know more information about a fish that is on display? How big of a tank do I need to keep that Naso tang thriving? What does it eat? What is its temperament? What fish will it get along with it in a community tank? Will it eat any of my coral? These are all important questions that need answering before making a purchase.

Enter P.O.T.O. (http://www.piecesoftheocean.com/)'s free marine fish app, available for both Android-based (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=air.com.poto.guide.Main) and iOS (https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/potos-guide/id595464007?mt=8) smartphones. The app is simple and straight forward: it allows you to look up information on marine fish simply and easily.

I had this App when it was in Beta form. It wasn't too good and the info on the fish was inaccurate. I see it says that it now has references for the info. Which will help ease my mind on it. Still pretty cool. Will definitely help for those quick searches though. Hopefully it's free cause i may just stick to my google on the go searches in fish stores ha ha. Very cool. Look forward to an app one day when you can take a pic of the fish and it knows what it is. That will be cool.

I was looking at Robs 1st pair of clownfish and went ooh ahh, I need an app that shocks me when I want to push the button "To add to cart"! Maybe my wife would talk to me more?

It must be in development still. It's far from extensive.

very few common species that most reefers who are not a novice will know about already.
