I think the pro had more LEDs and more colors. I'm not running one but I considered it. I think I'm gonna go with AI though.

I recall this pic Chris I believe from Rc right ?? I think this comparison is between gen1 and pro.....
What I understand that gen2 is a big jump from gen 1 with more intensity and power but is it a Gud idea to spend roughly 300$$ more for pro than gen2 where they hve only added more uv lights but the rest seems all the same

They are amazing! Difference is Pro has the UV and indigo spuds, and more LEDs.

i think the color spectrum is better on the pro and worth the extra cash. thats my opinion. a lot of the vega guys are curious as to adding colors to their pucks.

article is not very well written and i think the lights are mounted horizontal to tank which would give it a spot light look with just one Pro. but it gives you idea on color

I am leaning towards gen 2 on my tank. The pros are nice but unfortunately a little too expensive for me. I talked with the elegant reefers this weekend about the vega too but I don't think it will give me the light spread I need.

Very nice! I got the pro as well. I made my own hanger from conduit. It turned out really nice but I just had one fixture to hang.

I have one up now and the others will go up later. I can't use halides because of the amonut of space I'll have. I will also have to run tunze for the same reason.

I leave on Monday for a Gud two weeks. ...so these lights were get hung up when I come back ....I was check diagrams on ecotech website to hung these lights up ...to get a around 55" spread u need like few short or long rails and two premium hanging kits which adds up to like around 225 or maybe more .....I mean this much for hanging kits ????
So it has custom one for me aswell

Two pros on a custom mount I built. They have only been running for 3 weeks but the color is amazing! All of my LPS in the tank even on the sand bed loves them and the color is unreal!!! Can't wait to add some sps and see how they color up!

Check out 80/20 extrusion to make your DIY hanger (www.8020.net). It's very easy to work with and I've even seen this stuff on Amazon. Oh and I'd suggest purchasing the black anodized color.

Make a rectangle big enough to pick up all your units and drill the extrusion to pick up the attachment points on the Radions. Tip: make a poster board template to locate the 4 pick up points on the Radions. You'll need to pick up a generic hanging kit along with some T-Slot bolts. You could probably make the entire hanger for around 100 and I personally think it would look very clean. Let me know if you have any questions.

Lucky I won't have much access to this tank so I am only keeping hardier coral in this tank. I'm starting up a 40b which I'm not sure what direction it's going to go yet.

Without risk there can be no epic fail! :)

But Chris is right, Lucky, you've very little to fear and I think you will love the results.
