It looks amazing in person. I can't stop staring at it. Wonder how my DSLR would fare with it. Probably not very well.

Yeah, that didn't work very well. I had to move it further from the glass so it's even harder to shoot now as well.

?? Don't use the auto settings, especially under LEDs..

I don't, but I'm not very good at adjusting the WB to get a true-to-eye picture. They come out very bright blue or a washed out pinkish/magenta. These pictures were with my phone. You can come try and shoot it if you want.

Jeremy, I found it at Alamo this weekend. They got a ton of euphyllias and trachys in. This was the last rainbow trachy they had though.

Canon Rebel XSi, 450D. I have a 50mm lens and a 28-135mm zoom lens.

Asfar as white balance, I use the preset settings. I have the t3i and it allows you to view on the screen when you make a change, I try and match up the colors.

Tripod is key!.. If you don't have one, rig something up, like a table or crates... Anything that will keep it stable. Set the timer to, so it gives the camera time to stabilize after you push the shutter... Unless you have a remote...

You want the ISO low 200 or 400. It will be dark, so you will have to slow the shutter speed....

I am no pro but this is what I have learned so far.....

I have to figure out how to use the LCD as a viewfinder again, it took me forever to figure it out the first time.

I do have a tripod and a remote. I have them for those macro shots where even the slightest movement ruins the picture. Thanks for the tips Tony.

On mine it's just the button with the camera icon on it, to switch the screen from menu to live view...

Makes it so much easier to adjust settings for newbs like me....

I think it was actually something easy, I just never hit that button. One day I was pressing everything and was like, oh, that's how you do that.

It was the big one sitting in front. They had a bunch of them, but this one was the prettiest. It gets really big during the day. I almost didnt get it. I could have got 2 great corals for the price of this one, but in the end I'm happy. Thx!

My kole tang has taken an interest to it, so I'm keeping an eye on him and getting my fish trap ready.
