So today I finally got rid of my 6xT5 and hooked up my new full spectrum LEDs with 90deg lenses. And I must say wow! They really do make you corals pop out with insane colors and the shimmer effect through the water is exactly what I wanted. But my question to you guys is how high do you start your LEDs and how high do you turn up your blue and white/red/green. In this picture they are hanging 12 inches and the blues are on at 50% and the whites are at around 40-42.

Thank you. Btw I wanted to go mh but my wife wouldn't let me get them because the heat they put out. So I'm giving these a shot.

Is 50% blues and 42% whites to low or to high?

Jeff, what fixture? That might make a difference as to height and intensity.
For a ball park I would say 12" or greater from water line to start. As for settings. Find a color mix you like and then subtract 30 to 40% from there. You can bump up the intensity each week. Keep an eye on the coral and look for bleaching or color loss and browning. Bleaching - turn down intensity. Browning or color loss - turn up intensity. Once you get the intensity dialed in then you can lower the light a little at a time until you get to your desired height.

They are the evergrow LEDs similar to the Chinese LEDs being sold here. I just didn't like his color set up. My lights each only have 1 red and 2 green. And thank you for what to look out for.
