Yeah, i'm being a little lazy and not searching page after page looking for other posts regarding this question.

I'm just curious what others out there in this club consider a reliable test kit.

In the past I've been told salifert (http://www.salifert.c (http://www.salifert.com/)om/) was the product of preference. Yesterday I was visiting a couple San Antonio based fish stores & one of the clerks pointed to an "API" test kit he had on the shelf and claimed most people preferred it.

Then i saw the squeeze bottle within it's packaging and remember the old fresh water days and cringed a little bit.

So i ask boldly - what test kits for the following would everyone recommend:

Nitrate
phosphate
alkalinity
calcium
magnesium
pH

any others that yall would recommend?

no3 - API (want to get a red sea kit)
po4 - Hanna
alk, cal, mag - Red Sea
ph - digital probe

APi kits are garbage. I don't test nitrates much or I would have a RS kit already. It's on my buy-list.

I switched over to Red Sea kits and prefer them over most of the others I have had including Elos and Salifert.
