You guys are so silly.... It seems... We rarely buy some of these high end, high tech, LED thingys for any use of longevity; though we claim they last over 5 years. Take me for instance; I bought 4 AI SOL's 2 years ago. I waited a whole year to finish my tank and finally got to use them. After 6 months use time, I pulled 1 off and put in 2 - 250 Watt Metal Halides for spectrum. Now, after a years use, I'm pulling 2 off, and replacing them with 2 Vega Color Fixtures. Change and evolution is how this hobby has come so far in such a short time. :lightbulb::lightbulb::lightbulb::lightbulb::light bulb:

Exactly....

Your setup is sick btw....

Me and Chris just mess with each other to get through the day whether it be in here or through a text..

i know his soft spot for LEDs..... We talk about a system like yours which IMO is awesome...

chris is hardcore sps and I don't see him going away from MH anytime soon.... No reason to either, no heat issues and apparently Emily is okay with the electricity bill.. ;)

chria knows what mh fixture I would have if I didn't have LEDs..... But I don't ever see myself as hardcore as Chris into this..

Lol......

Not hardcore, just too much time on my hands. I use to have a bunch of other forums to post and skim through but this hobby has taken over...

Btw: I ended up with 3 on the main tank. And after I get the other 2 nanos up and running I will have a total of 7 AI Vega Modules. http://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/03/22/nysu5e9u.jpg

Setup is so awesome....

hey how do you like the Vega's compared to the sols

SoLiD

Metal Halide Lover For ever, LoL... I feel they are the best for growth & over all color. The Halides are off at the moment. They only run for 4 hours a day. From 4pm - 8pm.

I wanna try some butt yellow 10k's and see what they do for my SPS growth. Are Ushio's still the best 10K 250w mogul bulbs?

I like the Vega's white LED's over the SOL's White LED. It's a much crisper white color versus the yellowish color on the SOL's. the Vega's colors are much more balanced which allows you to turn them up higher, but I think the SOL's have more punch. Both are nice units.
