I got a sailfin blenny today with a few other fish, scooter blenny, puffer, one idk what it's called and a tomato clown. A friend is tearing down his 180 and transported the fish to my house in a vase the sailfin is lying on the sand breathing but the hermits are trying to eat him faster than I can remove them. Just curious what would be the best way to humanely euthanise him or is there a better option to try and save him or is death the only option he has at the moment?

So if I read this right, he's now in your tank but the hermits are attacking him? If so, I would try and isolate him by placing him in a observation tank or like a intank nursery that you can get at any petstore for like $8. It will float in the tank and has a lid and try to nurse him back. Other than that, there isn't much else you can do. I'm not sure how bad he is injured but trying to isolate him is better than putting in harms way.

He is in the sump where he won't be bothered by anything. Any advice on how to nurse him would be greatly appreciated he was perfectly fine till he was transported and I have added stress coat to the tank water

Is it possible that the scooter stung him? And how would I treat that?

Thanks, I'm saddened by it also I wish he woulda been able to pull thru but on a good not the other 4 are adjusting well I am now a firm believer in stress coat I will always add some to my tank when adding anything new even corals
