I picked this skimmer up for my 150 FOWLR. Its rated up to 150 gallons but I wasn't going to run a PS on this tank anyways so I figured it would be better than none at all. Plus, the skimmer area is small on this sump since it was designed for a fw tank (no skimmer) so its one of the only options that fit.
Got it Thurs and its already breaking in. Good build quality and a great price.

What size tank are you running it on?
The only gripe I have (and it's not really a gripe) but is how the skimmer sits on top of the pump independent of it. Of course, that makes it easier to pull out and clean. It just drove me crazy because I couldn't get the pump to sit straight. Yes I'm OCD. Very minor.
It is also a little sensitive to adjustment, but I think I know how to fix that. This outlet/adjustment tube has a completely open top. The Bubble Magus I have has a cap with an air nipple, this may restrict the air intake and give you more precision control. I'm thinking of adding one to mine to see. Cheap and easy if so.

I have two of the 180g model of the same skimmer. I ran one on my 92 corner tank, and it was awesome. Pulled dark motor oil looking stuff out. I bought a second one for a 100 cube I was setting up, but then bought the 144 half circle...lots of tanks. Anyhow, I have two of the bigger ones sitting in a box if you end up wanting to try the bigger one. These are copies of some of,the SWC and Bubble Magus skimmers...except much better priced.

Are those the sca-302? I think those were rated at 180. I didn't understand why their rating went 301, 303, 302. I read nothing but good things about them before giving it a try.

Yep, that's the one. I researched these on RC and everyone had great reviews, I guess that's why I have two of them. I'll be getting rid of one and will keep one as a backup to the monster I have on the tank now.

I have a nac9 on my 105. Yeah, I'm overskimming a bit.

I'm running this on a 110. I agree very sensitive. I've read about people putting something on the end of the airline.

Actually that's a good point. I was meaning to point out I want to connect the airline to the adjustment tube, and then cap it with an air nipple.

Sorry could not find this post. Now I'm running a EuroReef rated for a 250g tank....friggin monster of a skimmer. Imagine a 5 gallon bucket with a cup on top and your pretty close. I think the cup holds about a gallon. Beast...
