Just thought I'd put up a shot of my new 144g half circle tank. Chris (BigPun) and Emily (ms stangchris) came over to help transfer the livestock from my old tank....we ate BBQ, we transferred critters, and talked reef stuff and he a great time. Some quick info, 144g oceanic half circle, GHLProfilux III. controller, 3 AI Sols, 3 panorama pro LEDs, Euroreef rs180 skimmer, eheim pumps, blah blah blah. Mostly sps...some fish etc... All seems ok so far, lost an sps or two. Not sure if it was light acclimation or something else...not too concerned. Will post more pics once I get a chance..

I'll be selling off a ton of Reefkeeper Elite stuff in the next few weeks. Also selling my 92 corner tank and all it's equipment. I'm having one heck of a time with learning how to work this darn Profilux controller....anyone using one please shoot me a pm if you are familiar with the software( mostly clock and web related).

Looks great. Besides the programming issues how is the profilux working out?

Came out sick Randy, won't be long before you have it full of coral like the 92 was.

Man, it is a love hate thing right now. It does so much stuff that it is overwhelming to get all the bells and whistles you want to work. As far as interface and functionality goes it is awesome, but it is definitely a different ball game when it comes to programming and setup when compared to the reefkeeper stuff i am used to. All the different storm functions working with the lighting and wave makers is cool, but simple stuff seems to be a pain in the butt to setup. It is like getting a Lamborghini and then having a hard time getting it shift into gears easily. You k ow it is killer, but getting it to do all that stuff is tricky. The cost difference is nuts, full blown reefkeeper elite with net module I paid like $450, the Profilux system I am using is about $2,000.....so yeah, I expect it to do great stuff, and I'd like it to be easy, but its not, and that makes me angry.

I am liking these rocks that stick to the walls with magnets though....easy way to add space to put stuff. I bought four big ones and two little ones (4") and they seem to be doing well.

Daaaannnnngggggg...It's crazy seeing the tank without that corner tank right next to it! We need to have a repeat of BBQ and pumpkin pie though I think

You and me both. I have a 2x250 mh setup with two brand new radium 20k sitting in a box in case I end up hating these LEDs. I'm only going up to 60% right now...think that's low enough Tony? I will call u in a bit, I see I missed your text....was on the phone with someone in Japan.

How high are they placed?

I started mine off a little lower on percentage but ramped up the % pretty quick.
Just keep an eye on things. Any bleaching or browning requires adjustment.

And that kind of sucks about the controller. I know what you mean about having all the coolness at your fingertips and not being able to use it right away. Hopefully it is just a learning curve.
I was really hoping that they would have one of the controllers at MACNA, but the guys at the booth said they weren't even planning in being there and had actually gave up their booth. They were there only because the new led lights came in and were fixing to be released. Sweet lights by the way- just out of my ballpark in price.

Most of their stuff is crazy high on price. Just to add another power bar of 6 outlets is $375. Everything is expensive on GHL stuff...

I bought my wife a Canon T3i a few months ago, and she has some great new shots of this tank. The only problem we have is that I use an iPad on here and it is a pain for her to get me more pictures. More pics as things move forward...

Adding three more panorama pros this week. The corners are kinda hard to light with this tank. I even put in the 70 degree optics on all three AI Sols...but the corners are still a bit dark. So it will be a total of six panorama pros....my old halide setup is looking more and more appealing.

Tank looks great. The contents within seem as though they have been there the entire time. Good job on the transfer and setup. Keep up the good work.
