It's a 10 gallon half moon tank by marine land. It's got a penguin 150 filter system and I'm not sure on the lighting...it was a while ago...I've got a coral beauty, 2 firefish and 2 linkia starfish in this tank.

how long have you had the linkia. think its time for a bigger tank with that livestock you have. there are nano fish that are cool and would do great in a 10g out there.

My plans are to build it up with more live rock and some more corals. The firefish are cool..but mine are super shy! I'm going to try to get a picture of all of them and post.
ive had the linkia maybe 2 months....I am looking to upgrade tanks just not sure to what yet, so I'm refraining from anymore livestock. But I do plan to still use this tank for something..seeing as it was my first one :)

Agreed Chris.

The Coral Beauty needs to be in at least a 30g aquarium. Simple research all have it listed for a larger minimum tank size...... I think most of us on here would agree anything at 10g or smaller may only have 1-2 fish total that are considered nano suitable. Very small goby species for example.

Maast is here for education in the hobby so hopefully you will learn from other reefers on here on the basic foundations that will keep your tanks and inhabitants happy/healthy.

As of now it honestly seems as if you buy on impulse, a habit that needs to be broken to be successful in this hobby. The 10g and the Nuvo 8 are neat, but buying so small seriously limits you to whats going to work for the long haul.

Good luck, and ask away. We like helping out our fellow reefers here.

I understand I have small tanks but I've had the coral beauty since day one and she's been doing great in that tank

its not ideal is what we are saying, sure someone can raise a mastiff in small apartment but it would better suited somewhere with a real yard. plus they like to graze on algae and that ten will never hold enough for them to thrive not just live. linkia are the same and need plenty of room to forage. also your filtration even if the box said it can handle so much gallons is not ideal for a salt water setup.

we are not attacking you but trying to help you be successful, we see to many people in and out because stuff dies on them all of sudden tank crashes due to simple mistakes. but keep doing research and ask questin and we can get you a bigger tank. honestly nano are so much harder to keep than a large tank.

So I am looking for a bigger tank...but I'm picky lol. I don't like just the rectangle ones...I like unique tanks which makes finding one for me a little difficult...do you know of anything?

Lol, I had to lock the phone so I could see it right.

Unique tanks are pretty cool. I have an L shaped tank with a hex portion.
