Anyone have a buckeye unit with one? Do you absolutely have to have a check valve? I cant get the waste water to shut off

Yes - you must have a check valve or the ASOV won't work

I have one, I had to replace it once, and now I have to replace it again. The unit lasted about 8-10 months before failing.
The first time it failed I ended up with a $390 water bill. Good news is the unit is only about ten dollars.

When a hydraulic ASOV stops working, it's typically due to one or more of the following:
1. bad valve at the end of the product water "out" tube
2. bad check valve
3. bad asov
