Pretty cool. How did you do it?
350gt
Sat, 18th Aug 2012, 06:11 AM
Camera, tripod, intervalometer (some cameras have it built in), adobe Lightroom 4...
It was only a total of 86 shots set to shoot every 3 seconds I believe.... I would have done a longer piece but my battery died.

Looks great..
Thanks... I think towards the end it was too bright..
What settings would you use for a typical cloud scene like that and with it changing in a short period of time?
Have you ever put one together?

That's pretty cool dude! I've got one built in on my camera and have been meaning to give it a shot.

It's not as hard as it might seem.... As long as you understand the basics of your camera, which I am still learning....
The video is super short but i have been wanting to create one for so long and finally figured almost everything out...

Pretty sweet. I was looking into this not too long ago, but I didn't want to buy an intervalometer.

Lol it's so cheap, you have to take out the batteries to turn it off..... Lol
But it works and has good reviews, besides having to take the batteries out....

Hey T,
Those are nice. I like the last one, but also liked the second one as well. Different angle and I think because the sun was rising from the right side, and just out of sight, you could really focus on the clouds and how they were changing colors in regard to the sun.
Should set up one on some Texas Trash over a month so we could see it grow from 1 polyp to a colony... or maybe fairy dust palies. :)

The I decided to upload them to see what I did get.... I need to do this one again....

Dude, hold the camera still :P That was pretty cool
Question: dD all toadstools have those feathery ends to their polyps? My toadstool sucks, it's pink (it was supposed to be green/white I was told) and the polyps extend, it grows, but I don't have those tips on the polyps that are all feathery.

I wasnt holding it.... I was using a tripod and the flow was too much... I should have turned my Mp40s off..... next time..lol
I picked this guy up from louis a while back, looks like he is splitting... dont know know how they split of if they even do.
I dont know about the feathery ends but his guy has some sweet polyps that open up more when the flow is lighter.

Haha, I know...I was just kidding
I just moved my guy to higher flow so we'll see if that makes a difference. I hope so, I glued him down this time.

Some cameras dont have the feature. You can use a timer remote.
You can pick one up pretty cheap on amazon for like 20 bucks. Just hook it up to the camera. Set your time and let the camera do its thing.
