Glass holes 1500 gph overflow, and glass holes 3/4 inch return thru the glass lockline.

Wish me luck, smoking a cig to steady my nerves before doing this. Pics when im done.

On a side note I think the 3/4 lockline may be to small of a return for my mag 9.5 opinions?

Good luck on the holes :)

I have 3/4 locline for the returns on my 9.5, it works fine for me.

BTW, you DID check to make sure you tank isn't tempered, didn't you? Cause if it's tempered, you are about to have one really big overflow hole (I imploded two 55g, it's impressive, LOL).

I searched marinelands website they said the 75's only have a tempered bottom, I didnt trust that so I called marinelands aquarium division directly and they confirmed only a tempered bottom pane, then they went into the lecture about drilling the tank voids the warrenty

i drilled my 125 5 holes total, surprisingly easy, terrifying but it cut alot quicker then i thought it would. i used the plummers putty and water method, dont forget to put a towel down or somthing to catch the plug :) GL

More pics of return in a second. I just thought I would share something I learned. When drilling glass, and the instructions say " wear Shoes " flip flops do not qualify as shoes, I have a small piece of glass in my foot I have to go dig out now. LOL.

FWIW, I like to put masking tape on the backside of the hole to catch the plug. Not really worth much now since you're done already. Good job, pretty easy eh?

I put duct tape on the back of the loc line hole since it had 4 feet to fall. When i pealed the tape off the plug fell anyways. LMAO. Towel caught it.
