So there I was.......I have been using Tropic Marin Pro reef salt for the last2-3 months after switching from Kent with minimal improvement from my corals. It mixed easily enough with little residue but I had a hard time getting theexact measurements because the manufacturer doesn't provide them. You reallycan't go 1/2 cup per gallon because it will make your levels much too high so Ialways had to guesstimate the exact amount for 1.026. Well enter E.S.V. Ipurchased 2 35 gallon trash bins for mixing. For the first water change I choseto do 20 gallons out of a 200 gallon mix. It took about 20 minutes to mix the 4mixes but it dissolved very rapidly. After 5 minutes of stirring the water wasclear so I pulled out my refractometer and it tested spot on at 1.026. After Ifinished I performed my routine maintenance/ cleaning the skimmer and rinsingout the media reactor I use for chemi pure. I also topped off my ecobakpellets. I've been running them for 2 months now with minimal improvement but Ihave a 1/2 a liter left so I'll keep adding it until it’s finished. My Nitrateshover around 10 ppm.
Oh I forgot to add that it's probably a combination of things but my ammoniawas real high while using the Tropic Marin between .50-1.0 and after lots ofprime and several water changes I finally got it to a respectable level. Myinitial thoughts were my LED's were way to high and it killed my corallinecausing the spike but now I’m not so sure.

Ok well back to the main topic. Saturday morning when I performed my inspectionI was amazed at how full my corals look. Especially my frog spawn, all of mycorals looked better than they had in months. The difference was greatly noticeable. This morning again the corals are starting to look fantastic.

So overall is the mixing of the 4 part solution worth the added effort and the$100 price tag. I would have to give it 2 thumbs up and I think this salt is myreefs new best friend.
