I have a glass 250 Gallon Tank with a 70gallon sump tank under it. and all live stock
We have not had the tank long but some how it is fully matured (copepods, amphipods and pineapple sponges) also have possible coral growing that I did not have before.
I am going to post some pictures but I am not going to send anymore if you need to see more just come see it in person because if you can afford the tank you can afford to come see it (I apologize if that sounds rude just my phone does not take the best pictures and I dont want to waste time trading pictures)
But it is a complete tank and is running good no leaks great Day/night Lighting and plenty of cool stuff.
we are selling it because we will be moving and can not afford to take it with us we plan on getting another one when we get where we are going and get settled again.(too manny trucks needed and want to move everything in one go due to distance)... So we are asking 4000.00 but willing to negotiate and accept reasonable offers. We know most of you are experienced and know the worth of tanks, equipment and live stock and all the other stuff in between. Plus we already had a shop owner come out and tell us what its worth (will not say who because he asked us to not say) but we are selling for way less then he said we should he even made offer but we did not want him to buy cheap and sell for more...
There 3 maroon clowns, 1 red starfish, 1red sponge, 2 anemones, 1 sea urchin, 1 hippo tang, 1 black blenny, 1 diamond goby, 1 red scooter, 1 porcelain crab, 1 boxer crab, 1 pistol shrimp (is in there not sure how to get out cause they hide in sand), 6 Conch snails (queen and Tiger), 1 Tiger Cowrie snail (2 and 1/2 inch), bunch of mushroom coral, and a couple other types of coral, a few feather dusters of various size, 1 cleaner shrimp, some clear grass shrimp if you find them, 2 or 3 peperment shrimp i know they are there cause they shed like 3 or four times a month, 2 scallops, a bunch of mexican turbo snails and hermit crabs, and other things may be in there the hitchhiked on live rock or how ever it got there.
Call me at 210-624-1920 ask for danny.. Please be nice in you responses to this post, because I am a nice guy and i hope you are all nice too..

Ok i just received a nice polite message from another member saying i may be asking to much and I want to say thank you to that member, and also point out to others that may think the same as I said I am open to offers just do not ask how low i am willing to go because you know what i'm asking already but if you make an offer I will happily give it thought and who knows I may take the offer.. but i did buy the tank used and stand and paid to have it moved as well so i would like to get as close to the amount I paid 4500 (that includes the moving of 200) and from every person we asked that buys and sells these things they said we got an awesome deal a few even were surprised they did not see the CL add first.

Hello everyone.. OK so I was thinking last night that I am willing to take $3200.00 and that's Firm only because I am also gonna sale the 75gal fresh water tank with it.the link is to the other tank ( http://www.maast.org/showthread.php?71461-complete-freshwater-tank-setup-and-livestock ). I just need them gone. so I am selling the salt water tank for 2800 and the fresh for 400 together that's 3200.00.... I am not gonna drop the price any more and I am not gonna take any offers or sell them separate. if you do not want the fresh tank then sell it after you take it. both tanks are fully working and in great condition... If you want to know more about both just call me at 210-624-1920 i will tell you all about them.. I know these are worth more what i'm asking the only reason I am not taking my store owner friends offer is because I know he will sell it all for more in pieces.

Marineland Protein Skimmer 300, 350 gph, marineland 350 magnum canister filter. I dont know the light right now i know its about 60inches long uses 4 bulbs and has 8 Night LEDS and makes the coral happy and fish look pretty, and the sump pump im not sure about either I can not get down there to look because of my surgery... Irma said she is willing to sell the Salt water set up for less then 2800 but the whole set up has to go and that is not with the fresh water tank.... Just make an offer i still dont want to sell it to my friend just because I know he likes to resale stuff to people for way to much and this hobby is not cheap to begin with i dont like thinking that something i have will be sold for way to much..

well if anyone wants to make an offer go for it, if not oh well.. you know if people wanted to on here and you think you can use some of the parts yall would talk to one another and just split the cost depending on what you want and buy it as a team and split it up depending on how much each person paid.... that way it all goes at one time and every one gets what they want from it...

Since 2007 of being on this forum I don't think I have ever seen that happen...maybe once or twice on coral but never a complete system. Majority of the time we all try and sell complete setups for the first month or so and then we all almost always end up parting out. Seen it time and time again.
Good luck with your sale.

Rob,
I just bought an entire system. Sort of, there weren't any lights since he was using solar tubes.
Of course there were a lot of bennies that went into that tank sale. A monster chiller, a monster skimmer, 300 lbs of rock, and a whole lot of tank. For a grand.

Quite honestly, there isn't enough eye candy for the price you are asking.

When I said "i've never seen that happen before... I was refering to people pitching in to buying a system together as the OP suggested and then parting it out. But...fact is, most of the time the complete systems on MAAST end up parting out.

This is right on. Equipment, lights, livestock etc......is just not there value wise. When I sold my last setup because I did not want to deal with moving it to a new house I got $2k for it, but it was 250 Acrylic cube with 2x100 gallon sump/fuge, Big Euroreef skimmer, 4x250w halides, 2 iwaki pumps, 400# LR, spare mh ballasts with bulbs, spare pumps, probably 30 coral colonies, and 15 fish......it still took a while to sell. Honestly I would be surprised if you got half of what your asking. Not trying to be rude...just going by what I have seen sell over the past 14 years in this hobby.

well im gonna part out and sell all separate, I was trying to make a good deal but no one likes it so I am gonna sell everything separate so far just in the few live stock i have there is about 1000 dollars worth if it was fish store price (did research with multiple web sites and local stores so yes it is accurate assessment) but of course i wont ask that much im gonna price cut big time though.. once i make the list and set the price's i will post it here will be done by 6 or so... I am even gonna post pics of everything... I am glad you all have so much advice and thank you all for your patience...

i do find it funny that everyone is talking about price and eye candy. i did say make an offer but apparently that is to complicated, if u want the tank say so if it cost to much make an offer, if the pictures are not good enough come look. if coming to see is to hard then ask me to text me a better pic to you. but for real if you want it just make an offer don't focus on the price if some one openly says make an offer.. i really am s nice guy and easy to negotiate with if you have respect and patients. we joined this club to meet like minded people in hopes that they were as nice as us. i will have more pics and prices set for all individual things tomorrow hope i don't set price too high.. although i am gonna keep them under lfs price's for sure

Well sorry if you (( feel )) any one came at your thread wrong..IM sure your a nice guy like many of us..But in your first post you didnt post much info on your setup..An then your price was hi..Some well till you an some wont..Most of us on here buy thing at cost an may re sale down the line for a quarter of what its worth.
I may be off but i would say ur setup would b safe around 1000$ mark..But even at that may not move for weeks or longer..
Parting out is best an always moves faster.If prices are right..wish you the best on the sale an hope it works out for you..

sorry been busier then I thought i would be so have not been able to post each thing for sale on here. I do have an offer from another member for the stand, canopy, sump and tank (i will not disclose amount of offer or the member because I believe in privacy) but till he or she takes them or confirms he or she does not want them they are on hold for him or her.but the liverock, sand, fish and other things are still up for grabs...

2 bubble tip anemones=20.00 each
scarlet skunk cleaner shrimp=$15.00
glass shrimp=$0.25 each not sure how many are left but you find them they are yours.

green striped mushroom coral(has 18 heads on it)i want $10.00 for each head I will not break them up all must go, you can resale them for $40.00 max for 2 if you break them up I just never fragged before and i don't want to mess it up so its $180.00 total, They look awesome under blue light i love them so much..
6ft Marine land tube light setup with 8 blue night LED lights we paid 250 dollars used 4 months ago so make an offer It works perfectly and the LED lights are cool at night. good for coral and fish.. But really make an offer on it (throw in timer free)
3ft marine land tube light setup with 4 blue LED lights (light tubes not included) $70.00 or best offer (make a deal on it don't be shy)
Marineland Protein Skimmer 300, 350 gph=$100.00 =======>***OBO***<======= Be fair****
marineland 350 magnum canister filter=
$100.00 =======***OBO**<======= Be fair****
free pineapple sponges if you can harvest them safe there are tones of them and good for making natural/living filtration
Mexican turbo snails, blue leg hermits and other clean up crew= prices vary depending on how many you can get out
Live sand White medium fine grade(we have lots of copepods and amphipods in the sand and water) so make a deal on what you want I say a dollar a cup or something like that IDK, I know it would just be to start a new tank but is good deal cause the little bugs are pricey some times. the sand is clean the goby's clowns and conch snails sift and move the sand a lot so very little waste if any..
I reserched everything on line and with LFS's so I am selling these at almost 30 to 40 percent I am willing to negotiate some of the prices but lets be real here I care about these creatures they make me happy and you cant put a price on that, I am selling them cause i don't want them to suffer a move they wont survive, ive already heard how some think im over charging but I can research stuff too and i know with out a doubt what i am asking is fair. Please call me or text cause I may not be on here to check every day My number is 210-624-1920 I am not changing the prices any more and I have pics and can take any pics on request and send them via text.. I have to much trouble adding pics on here cause my computer is slow..
