PVC Over Flow. Anyone Built there Own???

I think I will build 2 1" PVC Over Flow's and run a Mag 9.5 for return. Any thoughts?

Add an aqualift pump to ensure siphon integrity.

i used one that i built on a small tank a long time ago. i remember it working well, but making a bit of noise. it also took up lots of room and was not very nice to look at, so i changed it to a weir style overflow that i built that worked much better. neither of those worked as well or felt as safe as a drilled tank with an internal overflow tho.

I am going to use this design http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=65yVr7DiDls but in 1" so I hope not to need a aqualift.

Changed it to 1 1/2 " :)
