Wow, just when I thought about buying some Radions for my spectrum enhancement. Some people brag about Ecotech Radions spectrum and talk down on AI's SOL modules, but AI as a company IMO will always have a leg up on the competition since they are so far ahead in the game. People always use the AI SOL as "The Standard" to compare their LED system too and still have yet to beat them. I think I will hold on to my $1500 until these things are released. Now I don't know if I want 2 or 4 of these... We shall see.

I have had the Ai'S for a few days now and i have been happy... Got some par readings today and I am pleased... My corals still look good.. Only one is ****ed but he will come around...

Ok I also didn't catch this the first time but it says there is: cool white, blue, royal blue, red, green, UV, deep red and very deep blue LEDs! So that is 8 different LEDs in there.

FWIW, GHL also have an new LED module being released that I hope will be more powerful than this (more LED's), but it also has 8 different color LED's. The multi-color LED thing is something that I have been thinking about for years now and it's good to see that manufacturers are using more than just RB and CW LED's in their units. I have actually bought thousands of dollars worth of LED's (that I will probably sell off), but implementing them all with multiple drivers has been difficult. I have all sorts of scrap paper lying around with Vf's and amperage tables, spectrums, etc. Hopefully the Vega or GHL LED will do the trick. The way I figure it, I still need to spend mucho bucks to just get appropriate drivers if I wanted to still do DIY.

color spectrum tony! my biggest deal has been a true full spectrum led fixture. i have spent way too much time and money to grow and color up my sps. I had a convo a long time ago at gabes with dipan when LEDs where first rolling out about what's missing from LEDs and basically it was getting the right color spectrum and even adding UV.

Certain colors will without a doubt shift when switching from metal halides to LEDs. The shift isn't immediate. It takes weeks or months. Red's seem to be the most affected as they will orange out on certain SPS corals. I think I may add 2 metal halides between 3 AI modules and run them 4 hours a day. I'm pretty sure Radions would help with spectrum but not as much as MH's would.
