A few months ago someone at fish gallery in Houston told me that I should not have two six line wrasses in the same tank because they were going to kill each other but I told him that i've have them for about a year with no problems. Today one of them had a big belly like pregnant. I have never heard about breeding wrasses, anyone have any experience about it?

I'm not 100% sure one of them is pregnant but the belly looks to big and the other one looks normal. I could try to take some pictures but they are way too fast.

First I have to say i'm really proud of this pictures because I had to take like 100 to get them, specially the last ones where I got both of them in the same frame :)

Yeah I found very few pictures and they do look like mines. I have not found any information about successfully raising six line wrasses though.

Well I did a few more google research and I found a few cases where the six line wrasse just ate too much and that's why it looks pregnant, but I still think mine could be pregnant because I've had this two fish for over a year and they are not aggressive to each other.

That's gonna be a little difficult to answer. My aquascape has a lot of caves, so that's where they are most of the day. I pretty much only get to see them for a few seconds and when I feed them.

In the google research I also found out that it could de dropsy, but the author of the thread never said how it ended up. If that's the case someone recommended taking the fish out and mix some medicine with the food, but to take the six line wrasse out ill need to take the whole tank down :S

Look around on MOFIB (marinebreeder.org). If anyone's breeding these guys, it will be documented there.

Good job on the photos and I'm thrilled to see a glimpse of that setosa doing well for you. I got a frag from Giau before he tore down his tank and sold it. It's a gorgeous coral!
