The reason for this thread is because I have noticed that some of my zoa frags (tubb blues) and my Neon Green Palau Nepthea seem to have lost some color. I did change out my lights last month. I did this over a period of time so to not shock any corals. It might be my light combo but I’m not sure. I’m running 4 ATI Blue Plus, 2 ATI coral plus and 1 figi purple. I’m going to be adding another Blue Plus once I relocate my LED stunner strips.

I have read some articles about how to enhance colors incorals. I know that good lights (right combination) with good PAR readings help out with coral color as well as good water parameters. I believe I have good PAR readings since I researched my lights and got help from the people at reef geek.

Can anyone please talk about what they use or have used to enhance colors in corals/growth? I’m interested in buying some additives but I want to make sure that I am getting the right kind.

I think my colors and growth improved a ton when I started using that Fuel for reefs product by AquaVitro (but I am noticing that more in SPS than in soft corals like you mentioned).

I did remove my coral plus, wasnt happy with it at all.... Seemed like it wasnt enough lighting for me.

I was running 2 blue+ one aquablue , and one coral plus. My corals were coming back with that combo, cause some lost some color when I took them out from under my leds and put them in my display tank.

I am experimenting with a GE65K in place of the coral plus. This thing is crazy bright, took away some of the blue but I will add a stunner led sometime soon to help with the color pop.......
