Take a look at the pics and tell me if you think it is strong enough to hold my reef. Tank is a 92 gallon corner, will be your typical reef. Top and bottom are 3/4" plywood. There are a pair of 2X8s in the back corner, and also a 2X8 on each end, so a total of four 2X8s. All these pieces are pressure treated if that matters. Then across the front you see a total of four 2X4s, two on each side. I have 2X8s bracing the bottom horizontally on each side, then 2X4s bracing the top horizontally. All connections are screwed together using 2" screws and all connections were also given a thick layer of "Liquid Nails" before being screwed together.

The front door and each side panel were hydrodipped in "burl-wood grain". The canopy was also hydrodipped to match. These pieces were all black when I bought the tank and stand.

Let me know what you think about it structurally and cosmetically. I still need to paint the rest of the stand once the glue is dry. Thanks in advance for your opinions.

SHould be more than enough with 4 2x8 for the back corners. Stand really looks nice. Do you have any brace in front in the middle of the curve to prevent sagging that would be my only concern. If not it wouldn't take much to support it with all the other support you have.

Dude, that's gorgeous... That's the first time I'd ever even heard of hydro dipping, and I've got to say I'm amazed. If you don't mind my asking, how much did that set you back??
