Price dropped to $400 OBO!! ($200 off original listing)
Hey guys! Wow it's probably been over a year and a half now since I've been on here! So… me and Justine are having a baby and because of that we are going to be selling our tank. We don't want the tank to be neglected, and with the expenses of raising a child we won't have the money to maintain the tank. So we have decided to sell it as a whole. It is a well established tank that we've had up and running for about 5 years now. We would like to get about $600 OBO and are available on weekends right now only. I have tried to list everything that comes to mind and will try to add more as I remember. Thanks for looking and let me know if you have any questions!
Tank is a 37 Tall with Mirrored Back
Black Wooden Stand with the footprint of a 20 Long
CPR BakPak with Protein Skimmer
Hagen GLO 24" T5 Double Lamp
50-55lbs of Live Rock
Sand
3 Hydor Koralia Powerheads (I've forgotten their sizes because it's been so long, but it's more than sufficient for this tank)
Heater (forgot the brand)
Two Mag-Floats (one big, one small)
Refractometer
3 6-Gallon Water Jugs
2 5-Gallon Water Jugs
Misbarred Clown Fish
Frogspawn with 6 Heads
Hammer Coral with 3 Heads
Chalice Coral
Moon Coral
Some sort of Maroon Brain Coral
Two Kenya Trees with several frags
Xenias
Candy Cane with 5 Heads
Candy Cane frags
Maroon Mushrooms (a bunch)
Green Star Polyps
Pagoda Coral
Handful of Hermit crabs
3 Nassarius Snails

Thanks Tony! We love the tank and hate to get rid of it, but with the baby coming we're worried we won't keep it up. After working so hard we'd hate to see it go downhill and to waste. It's going to be weird not having it anymore but I'm sure we'll be keeping ourselves pretty busy to keep us distracted enough!

Also, if interested feel free to make me a reasonable offer and we'll definitely take it into consideration! Thanks for looking!

Will you be parting out at all? I'd be interested in a few corals...

We are trying to avoid parting out right now because with the baby coming so quickly we are having less and less time on the weekends. We have to be out shopping and planning, and when we're home we're often doing projects to prepare. Right now it would just be much easier for us to sell as a whole unit versus meeting up with members separately.
I would probably be looking at some of the offers we're getting on the whole setup before deciding to part out, but I will definitely let you know if we do decide to. However I have already gotten requests on several of the items, so I would have to give them first dibs. After that it would be first come first serve...

Your coral that is highest up in the tank looks like a plate progoda to me. Good luck with the sale. I have a 10 month old and the first six months were hard keeping the tank topped off let alone maintained. So I do understand. Thankfully my wife said, give it six more months then take it down if I still dont have the time for it. I am glad she talked me out of taking it down now! I am growing some nice corals now.

Thank you! That's what it is, it's a Pagoda Coral. I appreciate that, I had been trying to remember forever!

Also, I agree with you that starting a tank is the hardest part. Cycling and making sure everything is ready weeks in advance before even adding corals to the tank can be a tedious process. I'm glad you stuck it out because you're going to love having your tank, it's amazing how we could sit for hours and find random things in the rocks like star fish and random critters!
If I can get this tank to sell as a whole unit I will siphon the water from the tank into jugs so that the whole unit can be moved and set back up with most of it's already cycled water. It would be essentially equivalent to doing a partial water change. We've done this before when moving and it worked extremely well. We even took pictures of our rock-work and got it setup almost identical to our old place!

Also wanted to note that one of the heads on the Frogspawn has just split and it looks like another is right about to. So it is soon to be 8 heads total!
