I've had this coral for a while came as hitchhiker over a year ago then all of sudden it took in last 3 months. a lil scary how fast it's growing.

Dude, I always get a little worried when something like that grows that fast. Like Karin said, it looks like some kind of clove polyp to me.

Can you prune it back easily? If you can control it easily, then I'd keep it, but if not, I'd pull the rock.

I just rip it off the rock. may do that when I get back into town .

Anthelia? I have some of that EXACT stuff in my tank. It's just a little though. I got a BIG frag of orange bam bam zoas and glued it right on top if it in an attempt to smother it. It worked for a while but now its starting to show up through the middle of the colony of bam bams. Its just very little and its growing slow so ill keep it. :)

did you get it from Gabe, if so its the same he got it from me when he was holding a couple colonies.

I am not to sure, but i got a lot from gabe, and that stuff grew really fast. It wouldn't be so bad, but it grows thick and has long stalks that just grew into and over everything. SO you can't keep anything near it.
