good move, proabably should keep him there to make sure the babies arent lost in filtration after release. can you see eyes yet?

no eyes, only eggs still......according to other people and articles on breeding Bangaiis, it seems as of now I am a day over normal?

maby they are not fertile. i didnt think he would carry them this long if they werent viable. are you sure he didnt spit out the first batch, meaning this is a new batch that he hasnt been carrying as long as you think?

Pretty sure yes....in case I missed it, would he carry again this fast? Not sure what to do, especially if this is the 2nd batch. Don't want him to carry another couple weeks without eating. Should I wait another day then get him to drop them?

Ok, so I stripped the male of his eggs. They do indeed have eyes and are moving in the sack....I messed it up????

awww... not sure on the survival rate of eggs that were stripped to early. Best of luck to you and the brood.

Probably not too good Pennies! All good though, I am sure I will have many more opportunities to try again

eggs turned colors, no movement, fed to bigger fish.....guess we learn as we go!

If you stripped and they were not free swimming, you could have used an egg tumbler to incubate them.

good call on that! I'll have to research it and keep in mind for next time if I need it!

You can DIY an egg tumbler or you can buy them. Kensfish.com has a pretty nice one for around $20.
