Lowes carries it in the lighting section as "light diffuser". A little pricey considering what it is but much cheaper than fish jerky.

hm. I would use them as frag racks but if you are looking for a tank topper the egg crate solution seems quite clunky and ugly.
What do you want to do with it?

We have egg crate tops and they do not always keep your fish from jumping. :(

I'm convinced one of your senior fish is leading a suicide cult. Instead of punch cocktails it is holding the eggcrate up for unsuspecting newbies.

I have had quite a few wrasses and blennies make it through mine as well. I want to do the 1/8th inch screen but haven't dove into that yet. Soon though, soon.

On a side note, my most aggressive fish right now is my lubbocks fairy wrasse. He goes after my damel(used to be two until he killed one), my clown pair, and even on occasion my tangs. He was also the reason I lost two other fairy wrasses...

Weird about the Lubbock's, Kevin. We recently bought the 1/4" screen from BRS so we can build some better tops.

Lol about our suicide cult leader. I havent noticed any Nike's and we hardly ever give them Kool Aid though!

That is really weird about the wrasse.

What is the gap on eggcrate? I lloked at that 1/4" mesh on brs and thought it would block too much light. I believe the next size was 1/2"...?

I've used the 1/4 screen and haven't had any escapees. And I have small fish. But I don't have any big weirdo fish brainwashing the little guys to squeeze through to find a better life in another galaxy...

If my wrasses were larger I would feel better about the 1/4" but I think John or Lorraine(sorry I forget if its 1 r or 2) said that BRS is selling the 1/8" now and even in clear so I might as well go that route to be safe.

I think all of the BRS mesh is clear

John mentioned it in another thread in a best of his recollection way, but I believe he was mistaken (sorry John :) ) unless he found it somewhere else. I just looked again at the BRS website and 1/4" or 1/2" are the only options.

I think all of the BRS mesh is clear Agree, it is clear.

I have lost fish through egg crate and 1/3" netting as well. I use 1/4" pond netting. Just make sure it tells you what size the holes are. BRS netting is good too.
