Since moving the tank to our new house in November (and losing quite a bit of my livestock), I have more or less neglected my saltwater tank (still battling cyano). Now that we're a bit settled in and used to married life, I've been spending a bit more time on the tank. I just finished aquascaping the tank (it only took 5 days of work before I was happy) after getting some new live rock. I also recently hung the light fixture from the wall as it has been sitting on 2x4's on top of the tank since the move. That in of itself has made a world of a difference in appearance, not to mention making it much easier to clean and re arrange things in the tank.

Here is what it looked like with the lights on 2x4's (not pretty):

I like the two "caves" upfront near the sand. They give the tank a sense of depth and some personality!

Thanks guys! The "cave" on the left is what I consider a true cave, fairly big inside, the one on the right not so much. It took me a while to get it setup the way I wanted (a couple of days worth of messing with it). I do agree with you though, they add a lot of depth to the tank. I also like the three rock "tiers" come down into the sand on the sides and the middle of the caves.

Update: 12-15-2011

The orange cap is growing at a nice pace. I also moved the large neon green yuma rock off the side glass and up on the overflow. I think it looks much better this way:

great job Chris, you can really see the growth. Everything looks very happy, especially that BTA.
