very nice...i hve a very little knowledge about anemones and way to look....now this one has a green base...and u would still consider it to be a reg rbta..?????
isn't it more of a rainbow morph???

Could be.. I think some of the coloration has to do with lighting.. either way I like it

any special tricks to settle ur anemone where u wanted it???

from what I noticed rose bta like to find a spot they can stretch out into the flow but also be able to retract and hide. but once they settle if you change flow they will move. even then there is a chance they will wonder. I never feed mine, my clown does on ocasions, it grew that big in 4-5 months.

Here are some bad cell phone pics:

1205112052

Rainbows-Are multiple various colors. Vibrant ones are fairly hard to come by.
Flame-Red with orange tips. I think mine would fit under this category as mine is just a flame variation.
Rose- Red but there are a couple different variations.
Lemon drop- Green base with yellow tentacles. Ive only seen one.

The other day I saw a sweet purple with green tip bta online. You dont see those very often either.

Im also starting to think that multiple varieties in the same tank do have chemical warfare as my Rose and Green BTA have not done near as well as this one. Mobert has had very similar cases as well as her Green BTA doesn't clone near as much as her rose. Just my experience- I would stick to one very colorful species and go with that.

Oh and the green coloring around the base of mine isnt as vibrant as it first was. On the one retracted tentacle you can still see it some though.

Man there are some beautiful anemones out there. I've always been a fan of Bill's clones. So bright.

http://tapatalk.com/mu/45a655d0-820a-950e.jpg

I've had this one for about two years, originally from mrsz28pwr. It's cloned a few times, but hasn't in the last year or so. It's only one there, for a size comparison the next photo is with a standard turkey baster.

And top down...

Too close to the surface.

Milly's green bta...

Really like what she has done with her tank...

IME they can be a real PITB. They move (mine settled about a year and a half ago) until happy... And some never do.

Mine takes up so much area when it shrinks it's a very open spot. No SPS zone for sure.

Having had at least 20 clones from my original, it's AMAZING how different they can appear. Right now I have 2 in the nano (they split a few weeks ago), and they can range from bright pink, to bright orange. Their bases also change, from pink to green. Look at Chris' - it has a green base. Neither of the 2 I have do - and they are the same anemone. It's all a matter of lighting and food.

Mine touches my Setosa without incident. At first I was worried as this coral didn't fair well in my 125 but it seems to be slowly growing again and is colored up nicely.

I forgot about my rock anemones from the jetties in port A, Gabe likes to call them giant aptasia but they are very hardy and have not harmed anything. I also have true mini carpets, very cool and only get to size of a quarter.

Sorry, alittle slow here. Had some down time today so I took some pics of our recent addition. We got it from AD a couple of weeks ago. It handled the transition between tanks with no problems. This one has the green base with the rose tips.

You got a clone so thats good! It reminds me of the rose bta I got at TMAC from Jeremy. I bought it to try and propagate it and after cutting it, the two pieces slowly got smaller and smaller. Calfo made it sound so easy. Thats about when I started my search for some crazy colors. Aqua Dome gets some pretty sweet colors in from time to time.
