Im not on here very much anymore, my internet ran out at my house so I can only get on during my summer school classes when I'm on campus.
The water clarity has been exceptional this past week so I took the oppertunity to go snorkeling a few times at the JP Luby Jetty and took my underwater camera with me for its first use.

Thanks guys, I actually started a little project I havent mentioned yet because of that snorkeling trip. I bought the 12 gallon long Mr Aqua tank (36x9x9 rimless) and set it up as a gulf tank. I have 4 rocks covered in the algae and sponges and anemones I collected, bare bottom. I also caught a VERRRRY small baby Spotfin Butterfly fish which I put in the tank. Pics soon!

I've snorkeled the mansfield jetties and it is incredible. Its amazing how much life there is within those granite rocks. Were you on the channel or beach side? Going down there in couple weeks. Hopefully its still good.

Awesome pictures! I had no idea there was that much life on the jetties! What's in the pic of the brownish creature with wings? Is that a flying sea hare?

Real nice pics, I'm amazed at the yellow whip...it looks so out of place. How many did you come across? Also I heard there were a lot of blennys out there, see any? I'm headed out there a month from now and will have to investigate. Thanks.

Last year when we went to the beach we must have gotten there after an early spring storm because the sand was littered with those yellow gorgos. I thought they were fishing lines or some kind of waste! They were so bright and stringy and abundant!

Don't put them in your tank. Theyre not good in a reef tank for a multitude of reasons.
