Does anyone have a 150w phoenix 14k that is no longer in use that I can buy for relatively cheap or have?
I just want to get the gist of the blue that comes from this bulbs so any amount of hour on the bulbs is fine, just want to see it light up before I spend the money on it.
Thanks again,
Zack

You can't go wrong with those Phoenix bulbs. I think that if you go with a 20K, it will be extremely blue. Unless, that is what you are looking for.

I heard the phoenix's run really blue however are still decently bright. I'm going to go with that bulb when I decide the replace the current one I am using.

I've got 250w double ended ones laying around but not 150w. I generally try new bulb brands every year, but loved these bulbs so much, that I gave up on trying anything else. I'm getting ready to order a new set this summer so that makes 3 years in a row that I've gone with these.
They've got a nice blue tint, but still enough white to appear very bright. You won't be disappointed in them.

How do the colors of the corals look?

Just enough blue to make the green and blue corals pop, but not so much that the pinks and reds get lost.
