Metal Halides wont fire

Im getting ready to install my Metal Halides this weekend

I have

2- 250w IceCap Electronic Ballast
2- PFO Pendants with HQI/DE bulbs

I wired them up as followed

White wires from the pendant, ballast, powercord together
Black from pendant, ballast, powercord together
Green from pendant, ballast, powercord

they all have the electric caps and electrical tape.

When I plug them in I here the ballast humming but the bulbs are not firing. The bulbs are fully seated? The last time I had the same exact setup icecap/PFO was 2008 and I remember this happening, but do not remember what I did to fix it?

Any Ideas?

Hmm. All I can think is that the bulb ends are not fully seated. Is there any signs of fire in the bulbs themselves ? Any coloration ? Wait about 20min then fire them up again.

some times i see some ballast that wont take certain bulbs why i have no clue .... i have two 14 or 20k 250w DE ( not sure which kelvin ) bulbs u can try out if you want pm me if you want to

Sent you a pm, ive heard of bulbs not being compatible with ballast but have never run into the problem.

Went to JTs house this morning and I did have them wired wrong. Well the ballast and powercord were correct but the pendant to the ballast were wrong. Minor adjustment and walla, the bulb fired.

Missed your call last night, we went to Carrabas and the movies. Wish I knew about the cookoff! I got a brisket going right now.... :) We're gonna watch the game if y'all wanna come by..

Man we just got home, were out there since noon. Some good grub and free beer from my friends booth. Man even with mostly cloud cover my white skin still sun burnt.
