Next Wave 2011 - Come on up for a day of fun!

Hello everyone.

I thought I'd make the rounds encouraging everyone within driving distance to attend our club's Next Wave conference. This annual event brings in hundreds of people each year to learn how to be better aquarists. We fly in four speakers to share their knowledge.

This year we are coupling the educational event with Steve Tyree's Coral Famers Market(sm). Not only will you have the opportunity to hear what Charles Delbeek, James Fatheree, Gerald Heslinga, and Matt Pederson, but you'll have the opportunity to purchase tank raised corals of all types. Tyree's goal is to provide a huge selection of corals that are used to aquarium conditions, promoting propagation. A good group of vendors have followed in his footsteps and will be on hand to answer your questions and send you home with some new items.

$15 - vendor hall and raffle only ticket, no speaker access

$8 - Jasons Deli Box Lunch to be delivered to the gardens that morning

This is what I keep telling people: Sign up today. Buy your ticket and mark your calendar so it doesn't get forgotten nor allow something else to interfere. You have just under two months to get that day off from work and to let your family members know you'll be at Next Wave that day. I bought my ticket a month ago. Heck, I buy my MACNA ticket a year in advance every year and never miss it.

Bring a cooler guys, since you have a long drive home that night. You know you'll leave with some new corals.

We went last year, learned a ton, and really enjoyed ourselves. It was a great event... And a couple of my favorite corals came home from this!

Just a few more days, and Next Wave will be here! I hope many of you are going to make the drive - I know it is a long one, since I've driven down to attend your club events a few times.

The full conference package is almost sold out, so if you want to hear the speakers, you need to sign up as soon as possible.
