So I just got my first order from Tom at Socaltropicalfishoutlet after being referred to them by Ramsey. The service was amazing, the prices were great, and tom was willing to work on any price to match, or beat the competition. Not only that, but he wouldn't let me pre-order things that he didn't have in stock to ensure that I got what he was able to promise me!!! I can only but say good things about them, and the time Tom spent working through models, and some of the other bits and pieces was priceless... A very patient man ;)

My NAC9, Vertex BP's, and my AI's came from him!

He ships incredibly fast and responds fast too.
He came up with a great idea to turn all my MP40s into the new ES version without any extra cost to me at a fantastic price to begin with.
One time I ordered Zeo stuff from him and didn't realize it was on sale with a coupon code and he just refunded me the difference as if I had used that code.

I've ordered a lot of stuff from Tom. Every time I've ordered, I've gotten top-notch customer service and great deals. He will most certainly continue to get my business. I order a lot of stuff online and I've gotten OUTSTANDING service from a handful of places. Socaltropical is no doubt in that list.

Tom is a great guy and a great vendor. I bought my first full blown reef tank from him almost 10 years ago. He started as a hobbyist and later opened his fish store after selling zoa's and corals out of a 350+ gallon aquarium in his 700/sq ft appartment. I personally think that is what really makes Tom so special is that he can associate with the needs of the general hobbyist.

Whoa.... how is it possible to put a 350g aquarium in a 700 sq ft apartment? Hang it from the ceiling? This feels like a riddle!

Tom treated us right too!

The tank was a 4ft cube that sat in his living room/dining room.

When I bought the 40 gal off of him he lived on the second floor of his complex and few months later moved to the first floor of the same complex to accomodate a bigger tank.

The best way to summarize Tom is that he was bit by the marine hobbyist bug really really really hard over and over again until he bled saltwater. =)
