Has anyone seen this stuff in action? I don't doubt their product, but what I wonder is, do you have to use their sump, or can I get one made by a MAASTARD that will work. I don't know too much about sumps, and have no experience with them, but it looks similar to most any other sump I have seen.

Thanks
Richard

I think it would be a huge waste of money to be honest. You have to replace the mud every six months which would not only be very messy, would also be expensive. I had some MM in my fuge on my last tank. I mixed it in with some sand but had no intentions of replacing it. It was mostly to try and get better growth for my mangroves. Honestly, for that money I'd get a biopellets reactor and some biopellets. Mine are still new but from everything I've been reading, they're going to be your best bet for N/P reduction.

Biopellets are THE miracle for tanks. Never got the polyp extension out of my corals that I have since using them. Most people use MM for the addition of trace elements, but you get those with regular water changes, which are cheap and easy.
