As many of you know, last night was kinda exciting having to collect 16 baby Bangaii Cardinals floating in the tank. :) He released while we were trying to catch him, Which was okay.. But come to find out he still has lots more in his mouth as we were looking at him tonight and he did not eat during feeding time :confused::confused:

Should we try again to catch him and retrieve the babies ? :blushing::blushing:

OR

Should we let nature takes its course?:ph34r:

Help us choose.. I will run this poll for 1 hour and go from there.

Get those babies!!!!!! If you raise them to a selling size, I might think about getting some. :)

YOu are the one doing all the work. How should we know if you want to continue doing it or not?

Yes, its work but just thought I would get the members thoughts on what they would do. :)

What would you do?

I have too much going on right now to worry about raising fish babies. I am glad if I remember to feed my own (human babies). lol
At another time this might have been fun to do though!
So for me it would really depend on how time consuming is this and what else do I have going on. :)

If this is something that is a normal ritual for you(raising the fry), then I would not see why you would not do it. It really depends on if you have time to dedicate to raise them. Your choice.

I would do it, but I am home a lot.

I am not sure if that means you can or can not because you say you are home a lot like you can not raise them. :/

They are not home like I am, which is what I meant :) I do a majority of my work from in front of my 200g, it's nice.

I agree with you Eve. I've never done any SW breeding before. But, when I tried breeding/selling guppies way way back, you'd end up with like 20-50 babies at a time and couldn't sell , or even give them all away. Too much work for too little reward. Good luck with the ones you're keeping.

one thing you might consider eve, if they are breeding continuously, is separating the male for a while. he can actually starve to death if they breed continuously and he doesnt get a break.
