Who sale PE Mysis locally?

Ray - I know this is the "Ask a Sponsor" forum so hopefully a local sponsor will chime in with specifics (if they have it in stock at the moment or what price, etc.) but I have definitely seen PE Mysis as a regularly stocked item at all the LFS, to include specifically Aquarium Designs, Gabe's, and Polly's. They carry it at Alamo Aquatics too and used to have it at B&B, so I'm sure you could probably get it at Reefs2U.

Cool thanks Kristy, ive never used PE Mysis myself but have heard great things about it. Picked up some fish recently from Teeb and also Z28pwr and want to keep them on a similar diet.

I picked up some about a month ago. I had forgotten how much cleaner it is vs. the regular mysis. Very little rinsing required.

Gabe normally hooks me up with the 40oz packs of PE MYSIS, but I know he also carries the 16oz.

You need 40oz packs with all of your large fish. I imagine you two go through a lot of food. I LOVE your aquarium, think im a little jealous.

Reef2U does also sell it and I like it because it has a 69% protein. Not mention picky fish are more prone to eat it. My fish love it as do my coral.

That Aqua Treasures stuff that Ed carries is from the same lake as PE, and it's a ton cheaper. Also contains omega3s which sw fish need. Free plug because it's a great product. Also doesn't feel as greasy as PE.

thats one thing i hate about PE its so nasty to mess with and htis last one i opend had leaves in it whats up with that ???

No idea. Try the Aqua Treasures. It's so much cheaper, and it's alot cleaner says my fingers.

You guys are finding leaves in this PE Mysis food? As in the plants? That is so weird! What is the deal with this stuff anyways? Is it supposed to be better than normal food or what?

This happened to me around 6 months ago and I called them up and they explained to me that the lake where they collect the shrimp from is surrounded by trees which loose their leaves once a year and they do try to filter out the leaves but the shimp is frozen in seconds after being collected thus it's hard to get out all the leaves. She said they are working on improving their technique and was very apologetic about the situation.

Hmm, well Nuri told me no way would there be leaves in their product. I find that odd. You would figure a simple strainer would be able to catch the leaves. Maybe PE is getting sloppy to try and keep up with demand.

Seriously for the price try the other brand. I did and it's GREAT. Gabe, if you don't carry it you should. Leaves or not it's so much cheaper, and seems to be better because there's not so much grease.

Aqua Treasures, keep an eye on them, invest if you got the cheddar. They are on their way to the top of the mysis ladder.

What is the protein % of the Aqua Treasures? I am just wondering it did look just like the P.E. and who all sells it around town? I wouldn't mind trying it if the protein is as high as P.E.
