There are tons of variables, but IMO if everything is testing good and the tank looks good....as in no major algae/cyano/etc. Then I think your ready, just in such a small tank I would only add one fish at a time. Then just keep testing and stay on top of water changes.

I agree. If everything tests out good, then you can slowly add livestock.

CLOWN GOBIES - these are seriously my favorite nano fish with tons of personality, the one downside is getting them to eat if they are small

I agree with the clown gobies only if you are not going to put SPS in that tank. They are the worst fish for SPS... I would even consider a Yasha/Pistol pair or Yellow Watchman/Pistol pair. I have a mated pair of Yellow Watchmen with a Tiger Pistol and they are the coolest...

The best advice I can give is to take it slow...nothing good in this hobby happens fast...

My favorite nano fish so far has been a tail spot blenny. Really cool colors and a personality to match.

the tail spot is a really cool fish but I think I have to have a established tank for one right? I think my first fish will be a clown.. Is two gobys or blenny and a goby and a clown two much livestock for a bio 14.. 3 fish total?

Most I've had in my 14 was 4, but is was not for long. How long has your tank been set up? If you posted I missed it. Any coral or fish is going to like an established tank, some coral and most anemones need at least 6 months. Some clowns need a lot of room even though my mom had two gold stripe maroons in her 14, not recommended. I personally keep it at 3 in my 14 but my tank has been set up for almost a year now. Really you're going to need to add fish one at a time and 2 weeks apart for good measure. Another trick I learned, after getting yelled at on here, was to do a lot of research on the fish first. Most online stores give a good description of their needs and tank size. Just for the sake of asking questions tell us how much live rock you have and what kind of clean up crew and if the tank has been modded in any way. I'm surprised no one has asked for these yet.

Very rare you go through cycles without algae but it has happened. What kind of led mod is it? (brand). Have you been adding a little food for the bacteria to start up or any kind of additive? A month would be good to start adding a fish I think. Also what kind of test kit?

I added food in the beginning but stopped because I was told it was the same as having live sand which I have... And idk what kinda lights they are I just know there very bright and told by a friend that there very good lights.. And it was a red sea test kit..
