I was curious about the same thing. It's a hundred less then the profilux system.

A decent writeup on this unit.

Looks like everything is good but the noise and number of dosed per day. But the price... 7 contolled dosing pumps for $575 or so is great. It would cost like $770 or so for profilux or even around $700-800 for stand alone pumps w/ timers.

Well, decided to give it a try. Also got the containers.

Cool, let us know what you think. I'm still debating between this one and the profilux system.

lol - I got my dosing pump and TWO Skimmers today! Guess the boxes the containers come in look just like the skimmer boxes. Back they go.

Two of the gizzmos (the knobby black things on the front that make it pump the liquids) fell apart all over my floor! I'm so lucky I found all the pieces before Buster did! Not sure if these were just loose from the manufacturer or if this is an issue long term.
I remember reading that someone else had this issue when they set theirs up. Don't remember where.

They continued to fall apart, so I am now waiting on new parts. I have one pump hooked up and it is doing fine, so once I get the bugs out, this will fit my needs just fine.

Guess I should update this. The parts arrived pretty quick and I have now had this running for a week dosing my alk and calc. Its working great. It is easy to program, reprogram, or run manually. I like the containers they make as well, but wish the tops screwed or snapped on securely (they just sit on top in a groove). The 2.5L fit nicely in my stand.
The sound of the pumps running is audible, but I kinda like that cause it lets me know it's working. I am running a total of 48 cycles throughout the day and I have only heard the pumps a half dozen times. The sound is comparible to many other perastalic pumps...but since it doesn't run very long, it isn't an issue. My husband hasn't called me a work to say the tank is making strange noises, so I know it isn't very loud.
This unit may not be your first choice if you have real high end expectations, but appears to be dependable and can handle anything I need. I'm so glad I don't have to dose daily any more!

Thanks for the update. Good to hear it's doing it job for you. I wish there controlled unit was 4 dosing pumps instead of 3. Can you hook a float switch or anything to the controller to use one for top off?

mine came today and I am super nervous. If they fall apart I'll be pretty disappointed. Too expensive to just crumble on arrival! :(

If it falls apart Karin, call and ask for replacement parts. They shipped mine no charge and they arrived quick. I read on another post the same thing happened to someone else, otherwise I would have thought it was normal and gotten very frustrated and unhappy.
This is my favorite purchase this year, next to my sweet lights. It is perfect for the application that I am using it for. It has been very dependable, and I really like how easy it is to adjust if I want to change the dosage. Now that the parts are all good, no need to baby it so it doesn't break, it is built fine. I'm not sure why they would arrive broken, but it is a plastic part that clips into place. It must be something related to the clip part of it.
If you have it in a quiet room, you will hear it working. I can hear mine, but I like that (I don't have to check to make sure it is working). The sound blends in with everything else, so it is no different than a fan, pump, chiller, ballast, or ATO turning on. Its on and off again in a short time.
Definitely worth what I paid for it.
