uhm. Are they looking at the same pics that they are posting?
I look at these pics and think wow that thing is huge (compared to a 40) and they keep saying how it's almost the same. Looks to be about twice as large. Obviously the 40s are pretty unobtrusive so twice as large as a 40 still isn't as bad as some other pumps. But I don't see the outflow being about the same size... they're confused...

That pic is of an MP60 next to an MP10. MUCH, MUCH larger but you can check out the other pics next to an MP40. Definitely bigger but if it can reduce the number of powerheads in my tank it might be worth it.

The only problem is if it breaks, you're screwed!

WOW, that thing is awesome!

No way I could justify spending $700 on a pump though...

Anyone with a tank large enough to use this probably drops $700 into it on a regular basis. And the battery backup could save thousands of dollars worth of stock! I'm glad my tank is happy with it's MP40.

It has saved my tank a few times when I was out of town and had the hubby sitting the tank. One time was a long power failure, and the other time he didn't realize the circuit that the pumps were on had tripped. He saw the flashing light on the controller, but didn't know what it meant. I got home a few days later to discover it had been runnin' on battery for a few days.

Every time we do a water change we test ours... unplug the Vortech power cord and watch as it switches over to battery power. Gives considerable peace of mind to see it kick in!
